Long time no post! (As usual) but I'm back! (again).
Okay so because it was August, Seoul was really hot those days, but that didn't stop us! That day we went to Insadong, it's a place where you can find a lot of shops for souvenirs, a lot of korean restaurants and art galleries, basically Insadong is located downtown Seoul i must said and there are a lot of traditional places you must go and see.
To get to Insadong just go in the Line 3 to Anguk Station Exit 6 :)
We walked around there and then we decided to go to Bukchon Village, that it's really close from Insadong, if you're planning to go to these places you should go the same day
So we just crossed the street and walked like 15 minutes and we got to the Bukchon Village. This place it's a neighborhood with traditional houses, i saw some hostels around here so i'm pretty sure that it would be a really good idea to stay in some and experience the traditional house staying: yes, sleeping in a mattress, it's not as bad as it sounds like, at least for one or two days.
I love the traditional korean houses and architecture so for me it was a really cute place to be, plus that the day before we met three beautiful persons and as i would called it, i think it was the destiny because we met them randomly that day, without planning it.
Later on, we got separated (we wanted to do different things and go to different places) so i went with my new friends to the Namdaemun Market. Tbh i didn't know anything about markets here in Korea but i did know that they weren't as they were in Mexico so i went there and i tried to taste all the different street foods and trying to understand what the people were selling. Namdaemun Market is the biggest market in Seoul (I've heard) and it's a really cool experience if you want something different as the craziness of capitals.
There you can find candies, fruits, clothes, ginseng, accessories..
... And the most important (for me), you can find FOOD!!!
To get to the Nandaemun Market you just have to take the subway Line 4 to Heoyeon Station, and get out in Gate 4, 5 or 6. Have fun! :)
